The retreat is going to allow participants to explore the practical as well as the legal aspects of their role. The time spent together is highly interactive and allows participants with various levels of experience to share their knowledge as well as question each other.

Max Franchitto – Principal of “Build Your Board” an Experienced Educator (at MBA level), along with other invited Associates who are also experts in advising & mentoring Boards.
- This is an advanced level practical workshop & complements formal governance qualifications, but also suitable for new and aspiring directors wanting to broaden their knowledge. It is equivalent to 20 hours of CPD learning.

Participants Should arrive in Rome at least One day prior and make their way to Siena.
Registrations must be received and paid in full by 30th April 2025
Minimum of 8-10 candidates registered for Retreat to take place*
Typically the Three day event takes place post summer when average daytime temp is 24 celcius.
The Fees:
The Registration fee* for the masterclass is $AUD 1,200 . Non refundable deposit of $600 payable at Registration form completion. Full payment due 60 days prior to event date.
The Fee includes all course materials (including case study articles), a welcome reception on the evening prior to start for participants and any accompanying partners. A traditional Tuscan lunch (working lunch) on each day of the workshop, a locally inspired morning coffee and afternoon “merenda” (refreshments). Dinners are not included but will be hosted by our personal Tour guide at special venues or you can choose your own (budget about $AUD 50.00 per dinner)
On Day 3, after a wrap up session, you will experience and historic tour with our local Tour Guide and multiple book author “Dario Castagno” who will story tell the history of the Chianti wine region in a truly unique manner. Then he will show us through a Contrada Museum (his Contrada “The Caterpillar”) in Old Siena, a truly fantastic trip back in the history of the “Palio of Siena”. (No extra cost to delegates).
The Venue:
The masterclass will be conducted in the Old sector of Siena in an old style Hotel called; Hotel Athena, in the heart of Siena Old.

The Terms:
Flights and Accommodation are not included in the registration fee, totally at your own expense and choice.
Accommodation varies in price depending on your requirements but we suggest you budget between $EU450 and $EU600 for four nights.
The Seminar fee will be invoiced as a Professional Development (CPD) expense and a “Certificate of Completion” issued.
*No Refunds on training once booked but a credit note for future BYB training may be issued. Same will apply if event has to be cancelled due to poor registration number or other force majeure.
